Guide to Namibia
Namibia, located in Southern Africa, gets its name from the Namib Desert, the world's oldest desert. Regardless of your travel style, Namibia offers something for everyone.
In the Etosha National Park, you can see all sorts of African wildlife - elephants, lions, zebras, rhinos, and giraffes - up close and personal (just make sure you keep your hands and feet inside the safari jeep!). There's also the Skeleton Coast, where hyenas roam the sparse landscape dotted with sun-bleached whale bones and long-forgotten shipwrecks.
You'll find awe-inspiring rock formations in the rugged Damaraland and sky-high dunes in Sossusvlei. Travel further and you'll come across the elusive Deadvlei, which means "dead marsh" in English, an eerie landscape marked by skeletal trees.
In Namibia's capital, Windhoek, you’ll find a cosmopolitan city with beautiful architecture, delicious food, museums and galleries. So whatever type of holiday you’re looking for, it awaits in Namibia.

May and October, the winter dry season, are considered by many to be the best time of year to visit Namibia, as the weather is warm and there's low humidity. This period is also the perfect time to see native wildlife.
